Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Post COVID-19 Rehabilitation and Care
After long hospital stays due to COVID-19, possibly time spent in an intensive care unit (ICU), rehabilitation plays an important role in recovery. Our fully licensed team of Respiratory Therapist and Physical Therapist work with patients to address loss in strength and motor skills, and ongoing shortness of breath.

“People who experience severe or debilitating symptoms may need support as they recover. This may include:

Physical Therapy

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Cognitive Rehabilitation

Mental Health Support

Early evidence suggests that some complications, such as heart or lung damage, may improve with time, particularly if they receive prompt rehabilitative care.”

What is Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

Covered by most insurances, pulmonary rehabilitation is a program of education and exercise to increase awareness about your lungs and wellness.  The classes are offered in a group setting so you get the chance to meet others with your symptoms, which provides an opportunity to give and receive peer support.  You will become stronger by increasing your level of fitness. Exercising your lungs and your muscles helps you be more active so you can do the things you enjoy with your loved ones.  Pulmonary rehabilitation may even decrease the need for hospital visits.

We can help with post COVID-19 symptoms, such as shortness of breath. Other conditions such as Asthma, Emphysema, Pneumonia, COPD or any other respiratory problems, you could benefit significantly from our pulmonary rehabilitation program.  Our services include Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy and Social Services.  Click on the Our Services link for more information.
